They insist on gas station receipts or bank statements showing you paid for the gas. They can plainly see by looking at the gas gauge that it was full, we even have a picture in their lot with time and date stamp, but that's not enough.

I will never rent from budget rental cars again and I suggest you do the same. I rented a car from them and I dropped the car and they keys of in the drop box and after several days I receive a call asking if I am going to return the car, I tell the person on the phone that I did and they let me know that they were going to clear up the issue. I receive a call over ten days later and they ask me to return the car, once again I let them know that I already did, I asked if i would be charged for the entire time the car was on the lot and they said that I would be but I could call and they would fix it. This was three monts ago and to this day I am still fighting a 2300$ dollar charge because they are unorganized. It is truly unfair that they would charge me that much money for renting a car for less that ten days, after I disputed the charge I find out they charged me for nearly 30 days of rental.

Never rent from them. They cheat and try to rip you off. My recent experience with them: I picked up a full size car on 06/23 at 4PM and was supposed to return it on 06/26 12PM. I returned it quite early at 7AM and since nobody was at the desk, I dropped the keys along with the completed Rental Agreement in drop box. When I checked my credit card statement couple days later they charged me more. eReceipt showed I returned the card at precisely 5:59PM on 06/26 and they charged me for an extra day along with $13.99 for fuel service even though I returned the car full tank. I hardly drove 4 miles after I filled it up. When I called them they said they wanted a receipt from the gas station and don't care about credit card transaction which shows time, date and location of the gas station. So, either someone from budget or someone who has access to the drop box must have drove the car around and returned later in the day or simply budget cheated. Either way I don't trust them anymore.

Wl I put in the lost request forms several times and just amazed that they have not found the watch yet. Really I know the car didn't go out to someone else in 2 hours. Well I can hope that maybe it will be found

We had a alright rental from Budget for the week we had vehicle. The reason for the low rating is the lack of explanation as to what charges would be added to the bill. The agent suggested we use the Budget service options of refilling the gas tank at $2.11/gallon, which was just a 5-6 cents more then gas stations, since we were returning the car so early. We agreed that was a good option and didn't mind the increased gas price in exchange for the convince of returning the car without a full tank. During the rental period we reviewed our rental agreement and saw that there is a $39.95 fee in addition to the cost of the gas for the service. We realized that we'd rather refill it ourselves instead of paying the fee, so before returning the car we filled the tank about a block from the rental return.

People that work here are awesome. Ana and the other young gentleman very helpful. However it is very apparent whoever runs this office should be replaced. It's managed very poorly the reviews are accurate to a certain degree. Only so much employees can do without proper leadership.

We also had a more disturbing issue. We returned the car on July 1st at 7:00 am by dropping the keys in a lock box at the Sanford Orlando Airport Budget rental desk and almost immediately realized that we left an Apple watch in the back seat of the car. After 6 hours on the phone to Budget through varies numbers, half a dozen customer service agents, automated phone loops and full voicemail boxes we were told to fill out a report online and were told that it takes 3 days to clean a vehicle and they couldn't tell us anything until then. Since then, we've only received automated emails stating that it is still an open case and nothing has been found. We were never able to speak to an actual person at the Sanford location, and the customer service agents are only able to refer you to a number that is answered by a message that the mail box is full. We know exactly where the watch is in the car and began trying to contact them about it within an hour of losing it. We've got zero customer service or help.

Warning!!!!! Do not rent from these people. The total charge was supposed to be $290 and they just charged my card $353. I called to find out why and they said that the child car seat I rented was $70 per day. When I rented the car seat I was told that it would cost only $14 per day. They also charged me $45 for a road side assistance that I did not sign up for or discuss with the agent. However, because it was somewhere in the fine print they would not reverse the charge. The Customer service was extremely poor.
