Have been going to Smokey Bones in Sanford for years now. Great food! We love our regular server Kristen. She is always so friendly and makes sure we have a great experience!
We stopped here for a late dinner on a Friday night. Because it was very cold in the restaurant, we ate outside. We were greeted by the server and got our drinks. I asked about the burger that I wanted and she said I could get build your own burger. After she left the table, I found the burger that I wanted on the menu with a different menu name. My husband ordered the pulled pork. When my burger arrived, it was cooked properly, however, the avocado was lacking and was put underneath the burger instead of over it. I also changed the cheese type but was not told the change was going to cost me. The pulled pork was good and we did not leave hungry. 4 stars out of 5 for lacking service and informing us of menu items and extra cost.
Where to begin. The service is top notch. Everyone has a smile on their face and are happy to help. This is the best place in Sanford for dinner. The food is cooked to perfection. The Ribs are outstanding fall of the bone. The Prime Rib special is great. Do not leave without checking out their Donuts and Smoked Wings. Best wings anywhere!
My wife and I absolutely love Smokey Bones. The Ribs were amazing. They were fall off the bone perfect. The Bourbon Lemonade is to die for. We like to come in for Trivia on Tuesdays. It is a fun atmosphere, TV's everywhere. My only issue is they do not carry the NFL package on Sundays. But their Brunch is very good. $15 bottomless mimosas!
I give it 3 stars due to as other reviews state portion for the cost. I will state our waitress was decent and on top of everything.
Had the pulled pork sandwich on garlic bread.. um the garlic bread a little cold and the pork without sauces tasted pretty good with that BBQ taste. With sauce it was even better. I will say for the same price I paid, I can get all you can eat pulled pork with all you can eat sides somewhere else and tastes just as good. Which on the way of sides their portions were uhh small. The beans tasted like Bushes Baked Beans. Good but from a can?? The baked potato uh hard. I could barely smash it to get my toppings all over. Time waiting was none it pretty slow and on a Saturday night at 8. I guess not a terrible experience but for the money it's not the greatest.
