Delicious food made by an amazingly friendly staff. The chili and the French onion soups are spectacular and I have yet to have a sandwich there that I didn't like.
I am very disappointed. I can see why he changed employees constantly.
So flash forward, I decide to give him another chance. I brought my friend and our kids on a lunch date. I told them the food is pretty good.
Trust me, this place is a delight. You won't regret giving it a shot.
We decided to go here just to eat somewhere different for lunch. We've been here before, quite awhile ago. Had a 1/2 Cuban and loaded potato soup, and my husband had 1/2 corn beef and Florentine Tomato Soup. Both were superb, we agreed! And the carrot cake dessert shot hit the spot! Enjoyed it and the owner remembered us even though it's been awhile since our last visit!
Then goes back in the kitchen, cursing.
I had kids with me and they didn't need to hear that.
Absolutely phenomenal. The owner and staff are so warm and friendly, the music is really enjoyable and adds to the experience, and the food. We ordered the French onion soup, and it was by far the best we've ever had.
What is worse. A lady was cashing out and he demanded her to leave a tip. When she dropped change in the jar, he goes no no no, you can have this back.
??? What?? Say " sorry for your wait. We had a mix up." Something?
We use to frequent Corner Cafe since they opened.
What an amazing gem ! Walking down Sanford with my wife , we came across this lovely corner cafe. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home. Chef and his team bring a tasteful environment. Customer service top notch. Professional, clean and warm cafe! The Cuban sandwich is to die for , don't forget to dip it in the soup if you get one :)
Well, I am so embarrassed. We waited an hour for our food. The other tables that came after got their food first. Instead of apologizing, he goes, "I hope it was worth the wait."
To top it off, we were given a complimentary dessert just to thank us for coming, and it was incredible.
Several months ago, I was enjoying a bowl of cream of mushroom soup to look down and see a hair in my soup!!! The owner, Michael, didn't bother to say apologize or come over to offer anything. He didn't even say goodbye to us!
